The one year anniversary (i.e. Oct. 9) of the loss of our boy, Spanky, is approaching.  He was a standard Eskie and was 12.  He truly was the love of our life.  He had a bout with glaucoma which made him blind for about 2 months.  Luckily, my boss's wife is a vet who specializes in eyes, and she gave Spanky his vision back.  I think he was always grateful to us for that.  It was diabetes that finally got the best of him.  He fought diabetes for about 3 years, getting insulin twice a day.

There is not a day that goes by that I don't think how much I miss him.

I have a picture but I don't know how to post one.  If someone can tell me how to post a pic, I would be most appreciative.

I'm so sorry for your loss. My boy has been gone for 4 1/2 months and there is not a day that goes by that I don't shed a tear at least once when I think of how much I miss him.

I'd love to see some pictures of Spanky and a bit about what made him special to you Smile I love reading that kind of stuff! Some things are familiar with eskie's its like they were all made out of the same fluffy cookie cutter, but then there is certain personality quirks or habits that only your eskie has that make's them yours. I have countless cherished memories of my boy and some things that made him MY boy, but so many things he did was very eskie like

I would also love to see pics of Spanky.  I am so very sorry for your loss.  So many of us have experienced the loss of one of our beloved Eskies so we totally understand what you are feeling.
