MY heart aches horribly. My #1 is gone. RIP my "Handsome Little Boy".

SIR WINSTON
GOTCHA (RESCUE) DATE: LABOR DAY 2001 (1-3 YEARS OLD)
RAINBOW BRIDGE CROSSING: AUGUST 16, 2013

My First Curly Coated Eskie
My Fist Live Shadow and Constant at my Heels Companion
My First Cuddle Buddy
My First Obedience/Rally Dog
My First Agility Dog
My First Tracking Dog
My First Thearpy Dog

You taught be so much.... you were very loved and will be missed greatly, but never forgotten. Your "Wohoo Wohoo's" are forever embedded in my heart and soul.

Winston left me comfortably at 2p on Friday (8/16/2013).  We spent his last two hours under a tree watching critters, equines and listenings to the birds chirp.  He was getting belly rubs and spoke to lovingly (being comforted, as he did with some many others, when he was a Therapy dog in the ICU).   He fell asleep in my arms, under that tree, knowing he was very much loved and knowing he would be missed.   He has left me with so many great memories.  If not for him, I would never have been introduced to the world of 'Doggydom" or more specifically "Eskiedom".   RIP my "Handsome LIttle Boy".  You are free once again to run, jump and play with your friends at the Rainbow bridge.

I'm so sorry to hear about Winston.  It's super hard when it's one you've done so much with.  You have many happy memories and photos of him and that's something to cherish.

As I told you through emails, I am so sorry. My deepest sympathies.

As I was talking with Sylvain for the past 2 days, we were remembering some of our good moments in "his" company. lol

Herding....was he ever good at this. At around 30 seconds into this video.

He knew how to herd! We were so impressed watching him work this. He had it!

Our trip to Niagara Falls.

Where there was food, there was Winston too. Smile

Some agility

Our last (I think it was) group pic

Will miss that smile buddy. RIP

Ahhhh!    Those poor sheep... they were tortured by Eskies that day.  Tasha was more interested in eating the sheep pellets then herding. LoL!     I love that last picture of Winston.  I printed it. Thanks for sharing the memories.  They were great!

My thoughts are with you,  you gave Winston a wonderful, happy home and were the best doggie mom to him.

Its such a sad day when we lose one of our fur babies.

Thanks everyone.  It has been difficult, more so than I thought.  I have a difficult time thinking he is gone.  I have caught myself calling him and looking for him around the house.  Time will heal and the sadness will be filled with happy memories.

Dear Tammy:  I too am so very, very sorry that you've lost Winston.  Like Jen, the pain of such a loss is all to familiar to me.  But I'm so glad that you had those last few happy hours with him, those hours of connection and knowledge that he was experiencing pleasure in the last hours of life.  What more could one possibly do?

Tammy, I am so very sad and sorry to hear that Sir Winston is gone.  What a beautiful story about his last hours -- such a peaceful and loving passing for a wonderful old friend, in the arms of his beloved mama.  Thinking of you and sending you and yours my hugs and deepest sympathies.

Thanks everyone.  It has been difficult, more so than I thought.  I have a difficult time thinking he is gone.  I have caught myself calling him and looking for him around the house.  Time will heal and the sadness will be filled with happy memories.

Ohhhh..... {{{{HUGS}}}}}

So sorry to hear...

Even a happy life cannot be without a measure of darkness, and the word happy would lose its meaning if it were not balanced by sadness. It is far better take things as they come along with patience and equanimity.

I am so sorry Tammy.   So glad you were able to be with him to the end and help him pass in such a peaceful and loving way.  He was truly a special boy and will be remembered as a wonderful ambassador to the breed.
