W & W went away for the Summer together.  Could there be Love Blooming?  Can you guess where they were and who they spent it with?

I was just wondering the other day if W & W were done forever.  I am glad to see that they are not.

Anyone know where W & W are?   Don't tell, if you do?  We'll let you gab about it, after day 10 is revealed.   More hints are coming.   Tongue

I have a guess!  It's solely based on the refrig magnets and the crates have confirmed it!

It was me!
Willow and Wendell spent the summer with me in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada

Day 1
Willow and Wendell are so thrilled to reunite! They share a hello kiss on a tree stump. Then they are off to explore the local rural Saskatchewan countryside. The area around Saskatoon is prairie and farmland.

Day 2
Willow and Wendell perch on the fence at the weir in the City of Saskatoon on the South Saskatchewan River. This picture was taken when the water levels were very high. The weir was built as a make work project for men during the depression years.    A nearby sandbar creates excellent feeding grounds and makes an undisturbed nesting ground for migrating bird species.  Every year white pelicans herald the arrival of spring. Some pelicans can be seen in the distance of one of the pictures.

One view shows the Railway Bridge http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CPR_Bridge_(Saskatoon) which pedestrians are also able to use as well to cross from the east to west sides of the city. Many students of the University of Saskatchewan use this bridge to cross to and from the university every day.

Day 3
Willow and Wendell pose near and on the Traffic Bridge, locally known as the Victoria Bridge. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Traffic_Bridge_(Saskatoon)  . Saskatoon’s east and west sides are separated by the South Saskatchewan River. Saskatoon therefore has several bridges within a relatively small area and has sometimes been called “The Bridge City”.  This bridge is now closed but is soon to be demolished and rebuilt. Another of Saskatoon’s bridges, the Broadway Bridge can also be seen in the background.

Day 4
Willow and Wendell sit at the base of the Prairie Wind lighting display at Saskatoon’s River landing. In the evenings these tall lights can be seen on the city’s riverbank. For a view of this look at http://www.lightstrade.com/info/20090316/326_1.html

Day 5
Willow and Wendell visit  the "Tribute to Youth “ statue  by Bill Epp. It was acquired in 1989 and is located in the riverbank park in the heart of Saskatoon.

Day 6
Wanuskewin Heritage Park http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wanuskewin_Heritage_Park is an internationally acclaimed First Nations heritage park located near Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. Willow and Wendell hung out at the gate, in a real teepee and with the bison statues.

Day 7
Willow and Wendell hide in the grass with the historic Bessborough Hotel in the background. It is one   of Canada’s CPR railway ‘castle’ style hotels built in 1932. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Delta_Bessborough

Day 8
Fridge magnet hints!  Adopt a dog, dog rescue, agility, my dogs are my kids... Wendell also hangs out on the front step  of my house in front of the sign “Caution Area Patrolled by American Eskimo”

Day 9
Five empty dog crates... and just a peak of 2 eskies (Casper and Nikki)

Day 10
The reveal! Willow and Wendell pose with the dogs.

One picture shows Willow and Wendell with my foster dog Max. He is a corgi- shepherd cross available for adoption at http://www.petfinder.com/petdetail/19305502  Willow also rests under the end table with Cotton. Both Willow and Wendell pose with the Eskies (and the Eskie- wanna- be)  (L) to (R) are Casper, Cotton, Buddy, and Nikki.

Hope you enjoyed the visit!
