That was in our paper too, and I was wondering what breed he was.  Now I know (mixed it says).

My poor Angel was said to be "about 5 years old" when I got her in 2006 from a shelter.  I always thought she was older than that.  But now with 2012 coming up, if she was 5, she would be turning 11.  This past week she has had trouble getting into the car.  That's from the floor of the garage to the floor of the car.  Then she can hop up on the seat o.k.  But despite her wild enthusiasm to go for a ride, she could not get to the floor of the car - her poor body would get hung up on the edge (that must have hurt).  So I got her the steps she used on the trip up to TN in 2006/7 and now she trots up just as nice as you please.  Only getting back down (I don't want her jumping) requires a tiny bit of urging. 

Her only problem so far.  Keeping all fingers crossed.  She means the world to me.

Sounds like she is your world and has many more years. You mean everything to her as well.

Interesting I have a friend that has a 28 year old Beagle.  I'll have to send this to her and see if she can beat the record!
