What type of flour/oil is ok to use?

Trying to see about making Tiger Lilly her birthday cake but I discovered that all I have at home is bleached flour and I was wondering if unbleached or wheat was better then bleached?  I also only have canola oil but recipes call for vegetable oil.  I have to go to the grocery store anyway so I thought I'd see if I should get something different.  The bleached flour was left by my roommate, not something I would normally have around which is primarily because I don't bake lol.  What does everyone else use when making dog cake/treats?

i think i use whole wheat flour. and i dont know that i have used oil in recipies but i'd probably use what i use to cook, which is some sort of smart balance blend.

I'd go ahead and use the bleached flour and canola oil.

I don't buy bleached flour either, but I don't think it'll hurt anything.  It's safe for human consumption!  And I usually have canola oil at home and use it for everything that calls for vegetable oil.

Love the photos of Snowball's birthday pawty .  That's the same recipe I'm gonna' use for Tiger Lilly.  And there'll be plenty of photos and I'll be sure to post a few .
