Yes, she is arthritic, has cataracts, a bit of doggy dementia and doesn't hear so well...but Sugar still tells me when it's 5:30 and dinner time! It amazes and delights me that her internal clock works as perfectly as ever. This dinner alarm of hers is a blessing, because with her in hydrotherapy/massage, chiropractic and acupuncture, it's hard not to focus on her age-related ailments and feel sad. But that smile at 5:30....! She still makes me smile.
