I got Koby today and he is a delightful little boy!!  He is very friendly and not spooky at all.  I stopped at my friends' house and her husband came out and was able to pet Koby and talk to him with no problem at all!  He is a wonderful boy.  I think that the other owner's main problem is that Koby is an immature, exciteable PUPPY.  They wanted him to be all grown up and sedate now but he is still a puppy.  He bit his owner because he was barking at something and she picked him up; he turned and nibbled at her.  He was in a frenzy.  He almost bit a young child because they had him tied out at the camp ground and kids were running all over the place - I actually think that he wanted to play and just didn't understand.  He is well trained - he doesn't beg - he will go to his rug during meals and when meals are being cooked.  He sits up, he begs (just not at meal time).  He is neutered.  He will make someone a great pet - if they wait for him to grow up a bit.  Oh, they had him on a buckle collar too and you could tell that he didn't respect Mrs. Owner.  She would tell him something and he would ignore her.  I have pictures - I will post later.

That's great news, Carol! Koby will find the perfect home for him in no time. It's a good thing he didn't stay with a family who wasn't going to be able to handle a puppy and would not be the ultimate good fit for him. So glad to hear how yesterday went, and can't wait to see some pics of him!

Here are pictures of Koby that I took yesterday.  The sitting one was taken right after he was dropped off and in Mandy's kitchen.  He was very scared.  The others are taken at my house - he is much more relaxed. He looks alot like his brother - in fact, they are very hard to tell apart.   He has a very coarse coat plus since he was wearing a buckle collar all the time, he has a ring around his neck.  He is very nice and gets along well with all of my guys.  I hope that I can find him a home before my husband gets attached to him.  I don't need another male!!

He is so cute. It makes me so angry when people give away their dogs just because they are being puppies. Of course he is excitable- he's a PUPPY! Geez. Some people should never get to own a pet. It makes me so angry to see people that treat their dogs like c**p after they have children or just because they don't want to bother spending time with their pups.

I am sure he will find a great home.  All the change is probably freaking him out.

In the 4th picture - he looks almost identical to Elmo (who is 6 1/2 going on 13 months).  Elmo loves to hang his tongue out - sometimes it seems to reach his waist.  I figured that the former parents weren't prepared to handle a puppy.  Elmo's coat isn't coarse though - maybe it will soften up with some TLC.  Beautiful dog.

He is a handsome boy!!  Thankfully the problems sound like they were about the people, not the dog, so he should be easy to find a new home.

My boss is apparently a disposable pet person and he is going to meet my wrath over it...he got a cat about 2 weeks ago and commented that when his kids loose interest in a month or two he will get rid of it.  GRRRR!!!!

Very handsome little boy!!!  I'm sorry that his home didn't work out but it sounds like it was definitely for the best that he was returned to you.  You will find the perfect family for him, I have no doubt.

My mother is very interested.  Please message me and let me know what you would be looking at for re-homing (cost and time frame).  She loves Brimley very much and doesn't mind his crazy-ness so she is looking for a fur friend.  Sounds like Koby might be a great fit for her.

Hang on, I might have a couple who are interested in him.  they have a 13 year old eskie and are checking with their vet to see if Koby would be good for their oldster.  they should let me know next week.  I will let you know if he is still available, ok?

I will be able to give you an answer on Friday about Koby.  Is your mom still interested?
