Tanzy & Jesse had their first agility trial in ages...

Excellent Jumpers  - Tanzy 1st & Q; Jesse Q

Excellent Standard - both dogs missed the weave entry....it was tunnel - weave  from the start line and the weaves were pretty close.  We had been working this entry at home, but not THAT close!  Other than the missed weave entry, both dogs ran smooth with awesome distance and precision.

They were both pretty excited and had a blast today.  Now we are chilling in the hotel room resting up for tomorrow.

Cool!  Great Job!  It's been over 5 months since our last trial and I can not wait.  We'll be doing a AKC trial next months.  We started practicing this week.

Well, the fun continued today...

Excellent Jumpers:
Tanzy - wild child (after her mom) designed her own course, pretty, and fun, but not qualifiying.
Jesse - missed the weave entry, but a beautiful flowy run.

Excellent Standard:
Jesse - 1st Q and Title!!  I was so pround of my boy as it was a tough course and he ran it like a pro.
Tanzy - also had a gorgeous run, but knocked one bar.  It was completely my fault...as we turned into the 3rd jump of a serpentine I realized I had taken one step to many and I was closer than I wanted to be to the jump.  Normally not a big deal, but instead of being a normal jump, this was a tiny practice jump (why they were using these randomly throughout the courses I do not know).  Anyway, she was on target for the jump, but when I realized how close I was and how tiny the jump was and knowing that Tanzy has a huge buffer zone, I flenched.  Well, when I flenched, she flenched (mid air!) and the bar went tumbling down.

A totally fun weekend!!
