Hi everyone I'm new to the board here and I'm excited to learn more about Eskies in general. I'm 17, female, and from the Bay area (CA) in the San Jose ish area. Saratoga is the specific city. I had a mini eskie named Naula (she didn't really look like an Eskie though, my uncle got her through a BYB) but nevertheless, she was a great dog. She was taken from me a few months after I got her from my uncle. Now she is apparently in a good home but never too sure. (The dog being stolen was hate driven). Long story short, the person that took my dog is far far away and I'm left dogless. But an eskie has a way of stealing hearts and they don't like to give it back, haha. Well fam, nice to meet you all!

Yay for NorCal! Yes it was a hard time for me and my family. Eskies have a very unique way of forcing their humans to miss them terribly. Even now I miss her and it's been almost a year.

Welcome Angie! I'm so sorry that Naula was stolen from you, how awful! Are you thinking about bringing another eskie into your life?

I'm still on the fence on what breed to get, but an Eskie sounds really good, but I want to learn more and make sure I know more about Eskies in general before I decide. But most likely I will bring an Eskie into my life =) But for now, going into senior year in HS and stuff is too busy! I wanna make sure to have a good chunk of time everyday for my dog That big eskie in your pic is SO FLUFFY.

Welcome to the board Angie! Sorry to hear about your loss, how terrible. There are many wonderful Eskies available for rescue when you are ready. You're doing the right thing by waiting until you have more time to devote to a pet. They depend on you for their life.

Hi Angie ( that's my name too ) and Welcome to the board. I haven't been on as much as I have wanted, so busy lately. I'm glad your taking your time to decide if you want another eskie, that mean's if the day comes you will be completely ready, and your right..you can never be too sure. That's very smart for a high school student to take such a mature approach to adding a new dog to her family.
