Hi!! Just introducing myself...my name is Tris and my family of five (three kids ages 5, 3 and 1) are looking for a mini eskie; we'll either save up to buy a puppy from a breeder or we'll rescue one that is good with kids.  So, we're getting involved with the eskie network and starting to keep our eyes and ears open. We're about an hour south of Indy and we love animals.  Pleased

You live in a great place to find an eskie.  There is a good breeder in MI - not too far away - who has minis.  Her name is Gina Horn and last I heard, she had two female puppies on the ground.  Check the internet for Sujo Kennels.

Welcome to the Board!!  You will like it here as we are a group of nice people.

Welcome Tris & family!  Good luck with your search for your new furbaby!  If you are interested in a "reskie," (rescued eskie) you should also try contacting Eskie Rescuers United and Heartbandits.  Also, try petfinder.com and petharbor.com (which will show you dogs who are at shelters in your area, you can search by breed).  Keep us posted on how the search goes.  Wink

Hi Tris! I hope you find an eskie for your family soon! We had one when I was a child (I had no idea, lol) and I have littermates who have been a joy from the beginning. I can't imagine having any other breed in our family!
