Since Tammy has a very busy life with new puppy and the rest of her life, I will be posting the pics of where Wendell was last instead of her. So here we go!

Whew! I cannot believe some people live in this mountain. That is huge and high. My little box will sure seem crowdy when I get back into it!

Then it was time to get back on track they said. Whew. Who were they kidding? Those are real tracks. You're not going to have me walk over 4 miles in there are you? I'm seriously not in this incredible shape to do this. I would much prefer sex camp like Tasha did than this workout camp. Man!!! Afterall, my life consists of traveling and partying. Not working out this way. Wait a minute!

You mean I have to walk in THAT??? What about those ticks? Do you realize ladies don't do that? I wanna go home! This is insane.

This trail is serious business. I can break an ankle in there. Glad Tammy was not in to join us. Poor her! My host is really nut!

I was wondering where Wendell had gotten too.  Of course, I'm still wondering, but its good to see he's alive and well (if not a bit whiny).

Wendell, you are certainly with a serious hiker!  Time for you to cowboy up.

For us CSI types, there are a couple of clues, but so far no luck. I did learn that a Yette is someone who lurks on the edge and doesn't say anything.

Here we go for Day 2. You will be getting far more hints today to give you a good headstart on where Wendell was.

My host told me that this is the picnic area of a formerly small inn and residence of a landslide that claimed nine lives in August of 1826. Though the surrounding area was strewn with boulders and debris, the  house stood unharmed. The family however, perished in the landslide, becoming part of the legend of W* House.

I did not care really much about history. All I wanted was water and food. Those baby ducks behind me sure looked tempting. But I was a nice guest. I waited for my kibbles once we got home.

To my surprise, or is it disappointment, we were off to another hike. Can we slow down a little bit?

Falls, I love falls! Getting there was sooo much fun! Although the trail is fairly steep with over 100 steps I managed to hitch-hike a lift in a backpack. Advantage of being small. Smile  It is very short and takes only about 10 minutes to get to the base of the falls. Thirty thousand years ago the Ice Age greatly changed the appearance of this area. The grinding action of ice steepened the valley walls and carved bowl-like cirques into the terrain. This river is 16.7 miles and rises on the eastern slopes of the highest peak in the northeastern United States.

Then we went on to a much bigger fall. That one was huge! Due to the ease of access, this waterfall has dazzled millions of tourists over the years, making it one of the most popular waterfalls in this six-State area. This one is a series of waterfalls dropping an estimate of 640 vertical feet  Topo maps suggest that the falls extend for better than 200 vertical feet above the portion of the falls visible from Route 302. To get to the open places on the cliffs requires a combination of sure feet, and steady nerves. In 1996, a visitor fell to his death here. Apparently, the rocks were wet, and a slip simply picked up speed all the way to the edge.

Ah car ride! That I can live with. Where can we go next? Move over driver, it's my turn to drive. Oups...but I can't reach the pedal. Does this car come in a barbie size format?

The beach. Yes. After all this hiking, I sure could use a rest on the beach (meaning watching those babes bathing!) But my host told me to brace myself as the water rarely reaches 55f even in the peak of the summer so I skipped that activity. This sand beach is a gorgeous little beach (290 yards long) nestled between mountains and rocky shores.

Ok. Enough of that. What have you got that requires less energy. This host is sure not a restful one.

This Railroad was the largest logging railroad of the area and it was covering about 72 miles, sidings included. It's construction began in 1894.

Whew! You should have seen the view there. Spectacular

Now, that was fun! Talk about the life! Whouhou!

Yabadabadouuuu! This host sure can also have fun. I was taken to a real race track too. This is real man's stuff. Now we can talk ... I mean speed.
Up on for a ride and step on the gas.

This wall as you can see is known for having met a lot of cars.

Oh Boy! I have so much to say but I have to tell you "See you tomorrow. I'm having a blast now being on a race track".

Enough excitement for the day yesterday. So my host showed me around.

We went skating. This is a very nice place. Lights, music, food. It is in a building with offices but you can skate 7 days a week. Awesome.

Then we decided to explore different cultures. So we went to see the Asians!

Hey!!!! Where are all the CSIs. On vacation???? Sleeping on the job??

Today is another busy day.

I saw a beautfull train station

And a place where a lot of celebrities, including an international singer, get married, baby christening...or have their funeral service at:

This one is really a jewel of history and heritage. It was built in 1771.

Tomorrow should be the last day as I am really getting tired. That host is way too active for me. I need a break after. So get those skills out!

I think I know who it is based upon the statue! But, is it someone who lives there or someone who, like Kathy said, was visiting? Don't forget...Yukon tricked us with his road trip when he had Willow (or was it Wendell who was with him?) - and we were part of that trick, too!

Man it is fun to play this game when you know who had one of the Ws. Big Grin

My host took me to what this city would die for. This is even bigger than life to the fans.

Those were and are still the greatest:

And oh! I also saw a huge unique steel shape thing that has a lot of history to the Americans.

Only one day left. You can do it!

Day 7

This is an easy one! If you can't get it, the hosts says it can't do nothing about CSI skills. Tongue

A pool! That is so refreshing after such a hard stay at this place. 1st it was hiking, then car racing, then walking. Now look at me, I'm surfing. What a challenging stay that was. I'm ready for a quieter, slower-pace challenge now. Whew!

But more hints are available if you still think the game was too hard.

The CPR's War Memorial is at Windsor Station in Montreal.

Yep…Wendell visited Canada for the first time since he started to tour and he stopped at our home.

Being the only Montrealer in Quebec, since no one lives in NH nor Maine that we know, or at least active members, I figured I would be pointed as the host almost on day 2 (day 1 gave little clues). No matter what pic I took from the 3 areas, it always had a way too good clue to give me away instantly. I did not want to play the game too hard as I know we lose interest too fast when nothing decent can be found but I had to somewhat think really hard as most places had names or were too easily recognizable. And I just could not put pictures of a mountain or just trail right!!! That would not helped anyone at all. hihi

I even digged my own information and copied some of the info. You simply had to copy/paste it to be able to find out all about those, most of the time anyway. That was how easy it was. Wink

So Sylvain and I took Wendell with us camping on our June vacation. It was soooo hard not to be able to post pics and videos of N&T traveling or talk about future plans coming in 2 weeks as it would sell me instantly. hihi But I had no choice to zip it til now in order not to blow away my cover! hihi

So here we go.

1)The mount you see is Mount Washington from an observation area. We are in New Hamphire. We had just arrived at our campground earlier.

2) 3) and 4) We went hiking on a trail called Mt Lafayette (I could not help but grin when Kathy came up with the Yette explanation. (If I had left all the names on the little board, I was found instantly – at least the area – which would have led to me) and when we started in that trail, it was sooo rocky and risky and we did not have our hiking boots on so we turned around. Especially with my injured/trying to heal shoulder, it was not time to injure myself. So Wendell was right to whine all the way. Hihi

5) We then stopped at WilleyHouse Historical site. They sell some of the best ice cream in the little house turned into small restaurant/souvenir shop. We went there a few times already. There is a lot of story for this area.

6-7) In front of the WilleyHouse, they have a picnic area with a fishing pond, with ducks and all. This is where N&T could swim on those very hot days! They absolutely loved it and the people had huge grins watching them swim. Of course, poor Wendell could not get into that water. Bummer!

8-9) Then we went another hiking trail. Beautiful!!!! It leads us to that fall: Pemi Trails

10)  The car ride one was just for the fun on one of our stops to look at the views!

11)This one is the Silver Cascade (I simply erased cascades to make it not obvious to google image). But still easy for those CSIs with skills.

12) AhHA! That one was taken in the Maine during the 2nd part of the trip. Just to confuse Eskie members some more. hihi It is called Sand Beach in the beautiful Acadia National Park. Beautiful beach. But we did not got closer to it because we were running out of time.

We went back to NH for our 2nd part of our week’s vacation.

13) If people did their homework from the previous pics, they would have found out very easily that this was the East Branch & Lincoln in New Hampshire.

14) This is a stop on the scenic drive that explains how the east met the west. We were looking southwest toward the Merrimack Watershed. That is the Westward Journey to the Atlantic that Jen could not understand. It a few words, it is water running down the slopes into the Hancock Branch, which flows into the Pemingwasset River. The Pemi drains intothe Merrimak River Watershed before it reached the Altlanic Ocean near Portmouth, New Hampshire.

15) We then made a stop at Storyland. That too was very easy to find with google!

16) Now back to Montreal. This is the famous Formula 1 race track and Nascar called Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve in honor of our own Quebec racedriver who died while racing. Right now, they will start preparing for the Nascar race. The F1 is in June. In-between, it is opened to public for in-line skating, cycling, and car have one line opened for them.

17) It is called the "Quebec Wall". A particularly famous part of the circuit is the wall on the outside of the exit of the final chicane. In 1999 the wall, which has on it the slogan Bienvenue au Québec ("Welcome to Quebec") giving it the nickname "Mur du Québec" (Quebec Wall), ended the race of three Formula One World Champions, Damon Hill, Michael Schumacher & Jacques Villeneuve along with FIA GT champion Ricardo Zonta. Since then the wall has been nicknamed "The Wall Of Champions". In recent years Jenson Button (2005) and Vitantonio Liuzzi (2007) have also fallen victim to the wall. Fernando Alonso 2005/06 F1 World Champion and Nico Rosberg have also both hit the wall at turn 5. Juan Pablo Montoya has also hit a wall on the circuit.

18) We then went in one of the buildings near my job in downtown Montreal. It is called L'Atrium Le 1000. Very very nice inside skating rink! If you had type 1000 skating rink in google, it would have come out as 1st item!

19) We have a China Town, amongst many "villages" in Montreal. This is one is the most popular one.

20) We visited the Windsor Station. Windsor Station was the Canadian Pacific Railway's (CPR) headquarters built between 1887 and 1889. It costed $2million then to build it. We're talking over 100 years ago. It is very nice to see. They have bal rooms now in there. Lots of large companies (like ours at work) have their xmas company parties there. Just amazing!

21) Statues were from the inside. The Canadian Railroad should be a good hint that it was a Canadian if you did not catch that one up yet!

22) This is our Notre-Dame Basilica. Where Céline Dion got married in 1994.  Built in 1821.

23) It is the Chapel of Notre-Dame-de-Bonsecours. It is in Old Montreal (Kathy, you surely remember seeing this and the Basilica above when we showed you around old Montreal.

24) Montreal Bell Center, where we have our own hockey team the Montreal Canadians. They celebrated their 100th anniversary last year and honored the biggest hockey of it’s history. In this pic, you can see Maurice, the Rocket, Richard in the front.

25) Is no one else but the number for Patrick Roy, the goal tender. He still remains the best goaltender Montreal ever had (and still Sylvain’s hero by far). He is now retired, after a successful career with the Colorado Avalanche team. He now has his own hockey team and his the coach of that team.

26) It is the Biosphere. It is the former pavilion of the United States for the 1967 World Fair Expo 67. It is now used as an  interactive exhibits aimed at increasing understanding of major environmental issues such as air, water, biodiversity, climate change, sustainable development and more.

27) Last but not the least, it is the famous N&T surf board. J

Voilà. We were very happy to have the pleasure of sharing pics of the NH, ME and Montreal with you. Wendell will now surely be ready for something less strenuous, although he may find his little card box a bit crowdy now. hihi

Great job! The pictures inside the Venza gave it away for me and then things such as the statues confirmed it.

That is exactly what I did to find the locations!  A lot of it sounded like text that might have been on the web sites about the places.
