Tasha had a 5.3 oz. Boy at 6;30 this evening with no difficulty. Three Big contractions and he was out.
He scared the heck out of me when I was pulling the sack off his head...his head bolted out and he gave a BIG CRY. It was Surprisingly LOUD for such a little guy. Even Tasha jumped back. Lol!
I have pics that I will try and download tomorrow. For right now I'm tired.

Congratulations Tammy and Tasha! So glad that Mr Big Boy came out safely and loudly.
I, too, am so sorry about Barb not getting Cincy. She waited a long time and it was SO close! But I'm sure she's happy that Tasha is all right.

Tammy I am so happy for you and little Tasha that Little Big Boy came out easily and helathy. You have been through enough!
But since she will only be nursing one puppy maybe a repeat breeding in 6 months is called for?

Are you kidding??? This nearly killed me. Lol! Actually I know it was the circumstances that made it rough. Todays actual whelping was not so bad and I did it all by myself...well Tasha helped. Lol! Little guy was directionally challenged at first, he kept wanting to go back from where he just came, so it took me a bit to get him to latch on to Tasha and nurse and Tasha was not making it easy by moving so much. But we got it together and he's doing a good job finding a teat himself now. Both him and Tash are resting now. She's being a very good mommy.

Never experiencings pups this young I'm surprised how mobile he is. He can get around pretty quickly. I also did not expect his little tail to be up and swaying when he nurses..it's cute. He also "jumped" over Tasha hind leg to get to a teat...well ok, it was more of a crawl over and fall, but I see a future agility star. Lol!
Tasha's being a wonderful mommy. Very attentive.

Gotta wait! Working 3rd shift tonight, Only had camera phone and cord to down load is at work.
No name yet. First have to see if I'm keeping him or not. He has to grow into his name. I'm wanting a Show male with performance potential, so have to see if he'll fit that bill or not.
If so, I do have a name for him.

ARE YOU KIDDING ME Barb, No I'm not kidding (at the moment), but the truth be told I'd have a hard time giving him up. I'm hoping he's breed/show potential, but if not, then adding a 4th dog to the household would limit me from getting one that does have the potential. I don't want more than 4 dogs and I want to be able to show and if possible get another good Mini male out there that people can use. As you know, they are difficult to find. You know I had a Plan B, if I did not get the show/breed male I wanted. Lenise will be having a couple breedings down the road, which I'd be very interested in, if this little guy does not work out. With all that said though.. .it will be tough and a decision I'll just need to make when the time comes. Right now he has a good 8 weeks of growing or more before he's evaluated and I have to make it. In the meantime Im enjoying him, loving him and will get him off to a good start, regardless of his future home. The first 3 pics are of him at 19 hrs old and the last at 2 hours old. Not much difference, except he's a little drier.

Congrats!!! He's SO small and cute!!! It's funny that you are already seeing "agility" moves by a just-born puppy!
