So I was thinking about getting an Eskie puppy when Cris deploys around Jan-Mar of next year. But I don't want to wait get a new puppy before Bolt is ready. Would a year be too short?

Too long?  Big Grin Big Grin Big Grin I could deal with too long  Big Grin Big Grin

We only had one large dog before, and got Cris to believe I could handle two smaller ones.  Big Grin Or it could be that he was at WLC durning our anniversary and I called him crying bc Kitty was my wedding present from him.

I also think Bolt would like a doggy play mate since kids get bothersome after a while. I'm their mom and I think so too!  Wink

Okay, so I started to look for breeders close-ish by me. And the state of Ky doesn't have much.

Really! I found some Japanese Spitz, not what I want but kind of cool to look at the pics and go, wow they look alike! Humm... I'll see if I can get in contact with CAMEO rescue, they help rehome dogs of military members that need to find their dog a new home for one reason or another, and see what they have. They get a lot of puppies from families of deployed members, I've seen a few spitz (looked like Eskies but can't be sure anymore???) there. There are some really good breeders in IL but that is a bit of a drive and I get lost sooo easy. I'd go to IL and end up in Jersey.

Check out my posting in the Rescue section of the forum. You might consider Casper.
