Trailed this weekend in Lewisburg, OH at the Horse Barn.

Sat EX FAST Run:   We were one of only a hand full of folks who got the distance challenge.  Far end of Tunnel (having to pass the nearest end), Weaves and further out JUMP.     All were at least 20' away.   Tasha did that fine... but mommy got greedy with the points and found myself to far away from the finish, when the bell went off and I could not get back to the Finish line in time... ate all our point.  Winded up being 3 short of a Q.  Blah!   You think I'd learn.  This is like the 4th/5th time I've done this.  I'll never get a EX FAST leg because I can not judge time and points.   LoL!

Sat/Sun Standard Runs:    UGLY!!!    She's back to blowing her A-Frame contact again.   She has not done that in awhile, so I'm thinking it may have something to do with the soft dirt/sand mix.  I'm thinking it does not feel good on her paws coming and it's making her bail earlier.  We normally run indoors on rubber matting and the equipment is clean, not dirty with the soft dirt/sand mix.     In anycase... big NQ's for us.

Sat/Sun Jumpers Runs:   Both were very, very pretty earning us our 9th and 10th leg in EX-B Jumpers for our MXJ.

Congratulations on the MXJ!!!

I'm with you on the timing and points thing.  I've lost so many Jackpot Q's for either being over time or under points!

A non-agility person told me "Why not set your watch or Personal Timer to go off when you only have 5 seconds left to run back to the finish". Lol!  That had never ever entered my mind, but it would work.  Probably get you kicked out of the Venue, but it would work.  Probably a very BIG NO NO!!

Creative thinking for sure.

Hah!  Like I don't have enough to think about on the start line without starting my timer!  Then I would never hear it in the excitement of a run. Heck, I sometimes barely hear the loud buzzer or whistle they use in the CPE games. And when I do hear it, it doesn't matter if you're all the way across the ring and your dog just HAS to take those obstacles on the way to the table.  Not worth the trouble, not to mention getting kicked out, or the sportsmanship issues.  It's fun to think about though. . .

In that case just have someone ringside yell out to you "Hey! Whistle's about to blow! Get back over there, quick!" lol! Non Agility people can be funny sometimes...
